Periodontal Language

Understanding the communication we receive from our Periodontist colleagues can have challenges. Little wonder since periodontists and hygienists are trained using differing terminology which can lead to confusion, frustration and stress.

Join Dr. Audra Ward and myself for this months webinar, Understanding Periodontal Prognosis, as we demystify the periodontal language you will encounter when working with a periodontist.

Understanding Periodontal Prognosis
with special guest
Periodontist Audra Ward DMD, MS

Have you ever been confused when you receive a letter from your periodontist and don’t really understand what it all means or what to tell your patients? Periodontists and hygienists are trained using differing terminology that can lead to confusion, frustration and stress when treating periodontal patients in multiple offices. This webinar seeks to educate hygienists and general dentists about how periodontal prognosis and diagnosis are determined by the periodontist.

On this webinar you will:

Learn and understand the categories of periodontal prognosis
Learn and understand how periodontal disease is explained within the periodontal office
Learn and understand the calculation of attachment loss and how it relates to prognosis
Learn how to have difficult conversations about periodontal disease with your patients
